What to expect

Coming through the doors of a new church can feel quite intimidating. But please don’t worry. We don’t bite! Hopefully you will find us to be friendly and welcoming. Here’s a bit of info to make it less daunting.

The building has been here for 140 years and sadly it is showing its age in some places. The church though isn’t really the building, it’s the people. I suppose it’s fair to say that we are showing our age too! Some are fit and healthy and others are struggling with age and health problems. One thing we have discovered is that God is interested in each of us and in every area of our lives. Whether we are weeping or rejoicing, he loves us and wants to help us. And that love and help is often shared through the friendship of one another in a church.

Sunday Mornings at 10:30am

We all start together upstairs and then the children and young people go downstairs for their groups. We occasionally hear them having fun but don’t usually see them ’till they come back up at the end to grab a biscuit.

We currently have 3 groups who rotate leading our singing, which includes older and newer songs. A box is available at the back for regular attenders who want to give a donation. Our services usually last about an hour and a quarter, though many stay around after for tea, coffee and a friendly chat. On the first and third Sundays of each month our service includes Communion.

So, why not come along and join us. We would love to meet you.
